CMHA is looking for an Ice Coordinator!

The service contract period is July 1 2020 – May 31 2021, and pays $2750 upon completion.

Job Description:
❖ Attend RDCK ice users meeting to secure fair ice time for CMHA – June
❖ Report tournament dates and any other events to RDCK to hold ice
❖ Work closely with RDCK for obtaining and scheduling all required ice
❖ Work with CMHA executive’s / division managers to establish a fair ice schedule for all
teams
❖ Attend the West Kootenay Minor Hockey Association (WKMHA) and Okanagan Mainline
Amateur Hockey Association (OMAHA) ice scheduler’s meeting (Held in Castlegar and
Vernon, BC) to secure game times for all CMHA teams – September
❖ Provide Tournament Coordinator/Division Managers with tournaments ice slots early in
season. Once schedule is complete by tournament committees; fill any empty slots if
required and notify RDCK for final approval
❖ Monitor usage of ice times to ensure full utilization and balance the use by all teams
❖ Review monthly ice usage vs. monthly ice billings; advise Treasurer when ready to pay
❖ Notify RDCK to block ice if CMHA is awarded playoffs and provide available time slots to
division manager
❖ Cancel ice not required within the required 72hr RDCK cancellation period.
❖ Contact Ref Scheduler bi-weekly with game schedule for assigning officials. Contact as
required when changes occur to the schedule
❖ Provide CMHA Executives with reports on the ice usage at the end of December and at
the end of the year
